Crescent Communities, LCC proposes to develop approximately 3 acres bounded by S. Tryon Street, S. College Street, E. Stonewall Street, and E. Hill Street in Uptown Charlotte, NC. The development plan includes 995,000 SF of office space, a 350-room hotel, and 33,000 SF of retail space. In addition, the site will include a 1,500+ space parking deck. DRG provided Signal Warrant Analyses (SWA) for two unsignalized intersections adjacent to the project on East Hill Street at South Tryon Street and South College Street. Recommended roadway enhancements included the modification of East Hill Street from a two-lane section to a three-lane section. DRG has also assisted with the encroachment permit negotiations with NCDOT to relocate the existing control of access along the I-277 frontage to allow for a large public open space at the gateway to Center City from the south.
