Could it get any more “Charlotte” than a brewery opening inside of a former bank branch?
The brewery, which is located in the Echo Hills and Oakhurst neighborhoods near Bojangles Entertainment Complex, is called Vaulted Oak Brewing. (Vault, bank. Oak, Oakhurst. You get it.)
- The brewery is planning a late May opening.
Why it matters: Founder Kiel Arrington and partner Chuck Kistler say their goal with opening the brewery is to bring the surrounding Echo Hills and Oakhurst neighborhoods together and create a gathering place.
“I can’t wait to bring more fun and positive energy to this part of town,” he says. “I live here and I really want to further help shape our community in a positive way that brings all the surrounding neighborhoods together for some great fellowship, great events and even greater beer.”
